Julia S. Giantelli of Pelham, New York, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. She was 86 years old. Born in Mount Vernon, New York to John E. Spinazola and Carmella Russo. She graduated from Edison high school where she met her lifelong partner, Guido, and married soon after. They were together for 62 years until 2018 when he passed away. They had two children, Jeanette Giantelli-Rapa (Luciano), and John Giantelli.

Julia dedicated her life to her family, especially her grandchildren, James Kitay (Jennifer), Julieann Kitay, John Paul Kitay (Giada), Lauren, John, and Maxwell Giantelli. But her pride and joy was her great grandchildren, Layla Neun and Hailey, Jace, Mason and Hannah Kitay.

Julia was a selfless woman and always put her family first. She loved her rose garden and often, years ago, spent many hours there. She suffered for a long while. She was an extremely strong woman. Now she is in a better place with her husband, where she really wanted to be.

A celebration of Julia’s life will take place on Wednesday, June 22nd at Pelham Funeral Home Located at 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham NY from 4 to 8 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, June 23rd at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Church Located in New Rochelle, NY. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
