Patrick Condy – July 17

Patrick Joseph Condy (age 64) passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Pelham, New York.

A husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle and friend, Patrick was loved for his quick wit, easy smile and story telling. Patrick loved playing sports, particularly golf, skiing (most often at Stratton), baseball and basketball. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, especially at the shore; his three favorite beaches were LBI (“Fantasy Island”), IOP and the Outer Banks – where many of his stories were created and told!

Patrick was born in Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, NY, on October 16th, 1957. He grew up in Tappan, NY and graduated from Albertus Magnus High School, and Iona College. He married Katherine Harris in 1987. Pelham has been home for Patrick and his family for over thirty years. During those years, he coached each of his three children’s basketball teams at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. In addition, he coached his children in baseball, and soccer in the Pelham youth sports program.

Patrick’s varied career found him bartending and bouncing at the Crazy Horse, which led to his meeting the love of his life, Kathy Harris. Her influence led him to pursuing a career as a broker on Wall Street. He completed his career retiring from Stillwell Supply Corporation. He excelled in each of these jobs because of his outgoing, personable ways. There wasn’t a person he couldn’t charm!

Patrick is survived by his: wife Katherine Harris Condy and their children, Brynn, Patrick and Christopher, and his siblings: Susan (John) Neely, Roberta Wallace, Jane (Steven) Circh, Mary (Keith) Mitchell, Michael (Julie) Condy, and Margaret (James) Brennan. His brother-in-law, John Cumming (Betsie), Arthur Harris, and sister-in-law Susan Boyd. And many nieces, nephews and loyal friends.

Patrick is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary Lou Condy, mother-in-law Doris Harris, and brother-in-law Lawrence Cumming.

Patrick will be deeply missed by his immediate family, and his huge extended family and many friends, truly, by any one who knew him. He was a fun and generous man.

The family will celebrate Patrick’s life with calling hours from 4-8 pm Thursday, July 21st, at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham, NY.

A funeral Mass will be at 10am, Friday, July 22nd, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 559 Pelham Manor Rd, Pelham Manor, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Boys and Girls Club (where Patrick dominated basketball leagues for many of years).
