Town of Pelham 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony begins at 8 a.m. at memorial

The Town of Pelham, in conjunction with the Fire and Police Departments of Pelham Manor and Pelham, along with Pelham Post #50 of the American Legion, will hold its Annual Remembrance Ceremonies of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 8:00 AM at the 9/11 Memorial on Harmon Avenue.

The Ceremony will include the reading of the names of the 10 Pelham community members who lost their lives during the attack, ecumenical prayers, various readings and an Honor Salute and the playing of “Taps” by members of Pelham Post 50. There will also be the ringing of the Fire Bell 3 – 4 – 5 in memory of the 345 Firefighters who died at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

The 10 Pelham Community members who were victims of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks are: Michael Boccardi, Montgomery Hord, Thomas Hynes, FDNY Lt. Joseph Leavey, Robert McLaughlin, Amy O’Doherty, Robert Scandole, Daniel Shea, Joseph Shea, and Michael Tamuccio.

All Pelham residents and friends are invited to attend.
