Village of Pelham and PBA Ratify 3-Year Agreement

On Tuesday, September 13, the Village of Pelham Board of Trustees ratified a Memorandum of Agreement with the Village of Pelham Police Benevolent Association, Inc., regarding employment terms and conditions for bargaining unit members. This agreement not only gives the Village and police department personnel critically important stability through May 31, 2024, it includes salary increases that are compliant with the tax cap and saves taxpayers approximately $75,000 in costly legal fees by avoiding arbitration.

Our sincerest thanks to our officers for their professionalism, collaboration, and service to our community.

Village of Pelham Mayor Chance Mullen posted the following message on Facebook:

Just want to say thanks to the members of our PBA for their professionalism in this round of negotiations. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to avoid arbitration and wins like this don’t happen unless both parties negotiate in good faith. Very much appreciated.

This is a big win for everyone in the community and we’re excited to share the news…
