Larissa Acocella – Oct. 11

Larissa Acocella, 38, of Manhattan and Pelham Manor, passed away on October 11, 2022, after a long illness which she fought courageously. She will be remembered for her loving heart, zest for life, brilliant mind, and charitable endeavors.

She graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in 2002 and from Fordham University in 2007. Larissa worked for J.P. Morgan Chase since graduating, most recently as an Executive Director on the Consumer and Community Banking Strategy Team.

She loved nothing more than spending time with her friends and family, as well as walking, photographing, and exploring New York City’s various museums, historical sites, parks, and restaurants. She was a true New Yorker.

Larissa is survived by her parents, Charles and Elisse (Barbieri) Acocella, her twin brother David, sister-in-law Rachel, niece and goddaughter Julianna, family dog Cherie, as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Justin in 2011.

Larissa was loved by all, and her passing will surely leave a void in our hearts. Larissa was a grateful recipient of organ donation, and her family encourages people to register as organ donors (organdonor.gov). For those would like to make a donation in her honor, please consider the Copa Syndrome Foundation or any charitable organization of your choice.
