September 3, 2018—New York, New York— New York State Senator Jeff Klein today celebrates Labor Day in recognition of the Labor Movement, and all that has been socially and economically achieved on behalf of workers in New York and throughout the United States. Senator Klein urges all New Yorkers to pay tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and wellbeing of our state and country. Today, Senator Klein gives thanks to all workers, and renews his profound commitment to advancing their rights, fair wages, benefits and safe work conditions.  More than 30 labor unions and associations, representing the interests of hundreds of locals and thousands of members across New York State have endorsed Senator Klein for reelection to the New York State Senate, representing the 34th District.

“Workers are the life-blood of America and New York State, and protecting their rights and interests is the fundamental responsibility of every legislator. It has been my honor to stand up for labor and to pass life-changing legislation for our workforce and their families. From passing the $15 Minimum Wage to Paid Family Leave, to passing legislation that staves off the devastating affects of the US Supreme Court Janus decision, I have always had the backs of working New Yorkers, and I will continue to fight and deliver when I return to Albany,” said Senator Klein.
