Dear Reader,

The Pelham Examiner is unveiling today a new Sports section that will provide the broadest coverage of Pelham Memorial High School varsity sports available anywhere.

The new section includes:

• Full schedules for every varsity team
• Scores for all varsity games
• Team records updated after every game
• Team rosters (with grade, captains, positions and jersey numbers when provided to the paper)

Sports Editor Nick Lieggi has been working for weeks to get the data and set up the system. If a schedule or specific roster information is missing, it’s because a coach hasn’t gotten it to him yet. We will update as soon as the data is made available.

Reached from the menu at the top of the page, the new Sports section offers features and news stories, complete schedules and results, as well as links to team pages with records and rosters. As part of the service, there is also a results box in the right hand column of the homepage displaying the scores of the last five games played by Pelham teams. Just below it is a schedule box with the next five games.
