Dorothy Casa – Jan. 14

Dorothy M. Casa of Pelham, New York, passed away on January 14, 2023. She was 90 years old. Born in New York, NY., to Richard and Helen Pavone, Dorothy was one of four children. Dorothy graduated from Christopher Columbus High School. Dorothy would later meet her husband, David, at the Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co, where she asked him to teach her how to drive in exchange for dance lessons. The couple would marry and lovingly raise their three children.

Dorothy and her husband David were founding members of the Pelham Promenades, a square dance club. Dorothy was an avid painter and collector of Hummel’s. Her children enjoyed many vacations with her and David, and are left with fond memories of traveling around the county by car and by R.V.

Dorothy will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, relative and wonderful friend. She will be dearly missed; however, her family finds comfort in the many treasured memories she leaves behind.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Cindy Casa Terp (Richard) of New Rochelle, NY, Cathy Fullerton (John) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Christopher Casa (Diana) of Pelham, NY. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Nicholas Terp, John Fullerton, Elizabeth Fullerton, Isabella Casa, and her great-grandson, Owen Terp. She will also be missed by her sister, Gloria Romagnoli, and her brothers, Richard and Robert Pavone. She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, David Casa.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that you consider making a donation in Dorothy’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
