Run in rainbow: 7th Annual Color Run on May 21 to benefit Project Community

Pelham, NY – Project Community, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing healthcare knowledge and community support, is excited to announce its 7th Annual Color Run on Sunday, May 21, 2023. The Color Run has become a beloved tradition in our local communities, bringing families and friends together for a fun 2.5-mile run filled with color, laughter, and community spirit.
Since 1985, Project Community has been committed to serving members of our community with healthcare knowledge and support. Today, their board, staff, and volunteers come from across many communities, and they are expanding to serve even more people in New York State and beyond. This year’s Color Run is an opportunity for the Pelham community to unite and support Project Community’s mission.
“We are delighted to announce this year’s Color Run and hope we can encourage new families and friends to participate to enjoy a day of fun, color, and community,” said Anne Frost, Founder, and President. “It’s an event that brings us all together, celebrating the vibrant diversity of our local communities while raising funds for ongoing local initiatives that support our youth, families, and community members through Project Community.”
Participants can register online here or in person at the event. Registration fees start at $40 per adult and $25 for children 5-17. All proceeds will go towards Project Community’s ongoing initiatives. Course Starting Point begins at 11 Westward Lane, Pelham NY. The Color Run will take place from 10 am – 2 pm, followed by end-of-race festivities at Siwanoy Elementary School. This year the run will feature a Teen race for grades seven through twelve. Racers will meet at 9:15 am for kickoff at 9:30 am. There will be three waves, with the eleventh and twelfth graders in the first wave, ninth and tenth graders in the second wave, and seventh and eighth graders in the third wave. A prize will be given to the first place male and female finisher of each group. Students can register via the race link.
