Ro Licata retires as Prospect Hill crossing guard—and gets big send off from kids and Pelham Manor police
On Friday, May 19, the Prospect Hill School Community and the VoPM Police Department held a heartfelt ceremony to thank and wish school crossing guard, Ro Licata, the very best. After 20+ years of crossing Prospect Hill children every morning and afternoon, Ro is retiring from her post. Ro, as she is affectionately known by all, was an attentive, loyal, dedicated, caring and kind crossing guard who will be sorely missed. She was a welcoming smile and a kind word every morning, and the children returned her good humor today with songs and cheers. The chant, “We love Ro,” could be clearly heard throughout the Prospect Hill campus.
Thank you, Ro, for your years of service. You are wished the best in your retirement.
