Prospect Hill 2nd graders brought to life the history of many historical figures during the Annual Wax Museum held last Monday, May 15 in front of the school through carefully written and rehearsed speeches. Prior to the annual exhibit, the students research and write speeches of notable individuals, such as political leaders, scientists, athletes and more! On the day of the event, the students dress up as the person they researched. For the price of a penny, attendees can see the “wax figures” spring to life and share their biography. Some of the historical figures included Jane Goodall, George Washington, Ruby Bridges, Serena Williams, Michael Jordan, Simone Biles and Jackie Kennedy. The proceeds from the event will be used for a symbolic adoption of an animal through the World Wildlife Fund.
