Pelham Funeral Home sponsors Novel Night dessert table and bar

Editor’s note: This press release was provided by the Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library. The Pelham Examiner publishes press releases in the form received as a service to the community.

The Friends of the Town of Pelham Public Library are happy to announce that Pelham Funeral Home is a generous sponsor of this year’s Novel Night dessert table and bar. “Pelham Funeral Home’s commitment to Pelham is not only to serve our community through times of personal loss. We are also here to support our friends and neighbors by contributing to organizations that create opportunities for us to live more fulfilling lives,” says Pelham Funeral Home owner Clive Anderson. Novel Night, which will take place on September 30th, is the central fundraiser for Pelham’s library. Funds raised through Novel Night are used to support library programming for adults and children, to fund essential purchases like new furniture and computers, and to ensure patrons access to electronic information and technology.

An Irish immigrant, Anderson followed his dream to make his life in the United States, and found a special home in Pelham more than a decade ago. He hosted Novel Night previously and is honored to support the library and the many programs it offers to Pelhamites of all ages. “Every community fundamentally needs a number of institutions. The Pelham Library, like the Pelham Funeral Home, is one of those institutions,” says Anderson.

Pelham Funeral Home’s mission is to honor loved ones while creating healing moments. With Anderson and his team’s support, families create unique funeral experiences that celebrate the life of their loved one while offering comfort at a time of loss. Life Celebration® Services are available for both burial and cremation. “We strive to memorialize the life of every loved one in a service that is unique and unforgettable,” Anderson says.

Beyond his work at Pelham Funeral Home, Anderson is an essential part of the fabric of Pelham, especially during times of need. He has dedicated his life to service not only through his business but also through giving his time and resources to volunteer organizations. Anderson sits on the Board of Directors for the Pelham Danny Fund, is a member and former Board Member of the Pelham Civics, and a supporter of both the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (which assists families in returning their loved ones home when they pass away while traveling) and The Aisling Center (a social services organization providing support to the Bronx and Yonkers communities with meals, mental health and general support for the homeless, seniors and youth).

The Novel Night After Party, featuring a dessert table and bar sponsored by Pelham Funeral Home, will take place at 9 PM, September 30th at the New York Athletic Club. To learn more about the event, please visit www.pelhamnovelnight.com.
