Pelham, NY – February 20th, 2024 – Pelham Scout Troop 1 is thrilled to announce the successful crossover of six Pack 4 Webelo Scouts into the Troop during a heartwarming “Blue & Gold” ceremony held in mid-February. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the journey of these young Scouts, filled with joy and a sense of accomplishment. Pelham Scout Troop Scoutmaster Ted Hopper was honored to welcome the newest scouts to the Troop.
The “Blue & Gold” ceremony is a cherished tradition in the scouting community, symbolizing the transition of Webelo Scouts into Boy Scouts as they embark on new adventures and opportunities for growth. It serves as a celebration of their achievements and a warm welcome into the Troop family.
Under the guidance of dedicated leaders and mentors, the Siwanoy Webelo Scouts have worked diligently to fulfill the requirements for crossover, demonstrating their commitment to the values of scouting and their readiness to embrace the responsibilities of Boy Scouts.
During the ceremony, each Scout was honored for their individual accomplishments and contributions to the Siwanoy Webelo den. With pride and excitement, they crossed over the symbolic bridge into Pelham Scout Troop 1, where they will continue their journey of personal development, leadership, and service to the community.
The “Blue & Gold” ceremony was attended by family members, friends, fellow Scouts, and scouting leaders, who cheered on the newly crossed-over Scouts and celebrated their achievements.
Pelham Scout Troop 1 extends its heartfelt congratulations to the six Siwanoy Webelo Scouts on their successful crossover and warmly welcomes them into the Troop family. As they embark on this new chapter, the Troop remains committed to providing them with meaningful experiences, valuable skills, and lasting friendships.
