March 2024, Bronxville, NY Despite the rain, the Bronxville Field Club was shining Saturday night with the standing-room-only crowd for The Picture House regional Film Center’s Marquee Night 2024. The sold-out event, chaired by Lisa Rao of Bronxville, was a resounding success and brought together guests from Westchester and beyond with a strong representation from local supporters in Pelham and Bronxville. It was an unforgettable night, uniting the TPH community in a shared mission to celebrate and preserve two historic theaters at the heart and soul of the organization.
“We are grateful to all of our supporters who made Marquee Night 2024 our most successful event ever,” said Clayton Bushong, Executive Director, The Picture House Regional Film Center. “At a time when theaters are shuttering across Westchester and the Tri-State area, the amazing support shown by the community is paramount to ensuring the continued longevity and success of TPH.” Bushong also thanked the Marquee Sponsor: The Berkowitz Marrone Team at Christies’ International Real Estate for their generosity and continued support of The Picture House.
Among highlights of the evening was the presentation of TPH’s Lifetime Achievement Award to Amy Kerrigan Cole, President, AOK Communications, recognizing her dedication and tremendous contributions to the organization for more than a decade. “Through my years working with The Picture House I learned how important creativity and collaboration are not just in the process of making a movie but also for building a healthy and thriving community,” commented Cole in accepting her award. “We need places like The Picture House to bring us together to share culture and to remind us of the importance of in-person connection. It has been my honor to be a part of The Picture House’s growth and I look forward to watching its continued success.”
Natasha Caputo, Director of Tourism and Film in Westchester, received the Second Century Award for her impact and influence on the film industry in Westchester Couty. Special thanks to Will McCormack, Academy Award Winning director, producer and actor, for his touching video tribute to the honorees.
Local officials joined in the festivities, including NY State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin, Westchester County Executive George Latimer and Westchester County Legislator James Nolan.
After-parties at both Bronxville and Pelham theaters featured special screenings of the 2024 Oscar Nominated Shorts with sparkling prosecco flowing and a decadent candy and dessert bar which featured brownies from Greyston Bakery and cake pops by Patty Pops of Pelham.
