We are looking to fill the part-time role of development director supporting the Hudson Valley Local News Lab Inc., publisher of the Pelham Examiner. If you are an energetic Pelhamite interested in flexible work and an opportunity to contribute to our award-winning local newspaper, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We are seeking someone who has experience and/or interest in fundraising/nonprofits, advertising, digital media or maybe all of the above. You might be looking to return to work after a break or starting a new career. You are definitely passionate about the Pelham community and a “doer” who can work and think creatively to get things done!
What you’ll do for the Examiner
Fundraising & Donations:
- Always on and campaign specific marketing (write copy, refresh creative, channel execution, reporting)
- CRM & backend technical management
- Main point of contact for donors
Sponsorships:
- Traffic sponsorship creative
- Coordinate donation fulfillment
- Maintain sponsorship schedules
- Maintain media kit
- Respond to email inquiries
- Main point of contact for potential and existing sponsors
Experience
- Proficiency or willingness to learn CRM software required
- Fundraising experience, digital advertising or media experience, preferred
This is a parent friendly, fully remote role with flexible hours. It is managed through Wolfs Lane Consulting, a Pelham-based marketing consultancy. In addition to supporting the Pelham Examiner, this role may also support additional clients.
