PELHAM, NY. Pelham Art Center has two community-focused art events planned for this summer. The first, the “Art Happening” is a block party planned by PAC’s Teen Artist Council, coming up on Saturday, July 27 from 1-4pm. The event will take place in the Art Center’s courtyard and will feature music, snacks, and arts and crafts for all ages. Art activities will include rock painting, lanyard keychains, and a tie dye station. Teen Artist Council members will also be selling their artwork alongside used and discounted art books.
PAC’s Spring interns—Oliver Lavallee, Dasha Nosova, Nicole Montanez, Valerie Valerio and Layla Jackson were the primary organizers of this event. Pelham Art Center’s teen programming empowers its participants to take a hands-on leadership role in planning art events, exhibitions, artist talks, and more.
