Louise M. Podszus of Pelham, NY entered into Eternal Life on July 21, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born on August 30, 1930 to Carl and Marie (Reinhardt) Finke .On August 28, 1955 she married William G. Podszus, who predeceased her in 2006.

Louise is survived by her daughter Elaine, sons Warren, Edward (Iva), William (Susanne), grandchildren Ryan (Sharon) and their children Evan & Chase, Brendan (Marissa) and their children Konrad & Mila, and Rebecca (Brendan) and their son Colin, numerous other relatives, and a large extended family.

Louise had careers in the banking and insurance industries before she became a stay-at-home mom. After their children grew up, she entered a third career with the Westchester County Department of Social Services, where she worked for 22 years, retiring in 2015. She had been an avid knitter, and in recent years enjoyed doing word puzzles and anagrams.

A Memorial Service was held at the Village Lutheran Church, 177 White Plains Road, Bronxville, NY, 10708 on July 26.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Chapel School of Village Lutheran Church, the Village Lutheran Church, or any charity of your choice.
