Pelham Manor residents for 22 years and want chance to vote on referendum on moving village elections

To the editor:

Our family has lived in Pelham Manor for 22 years.

We would very much like to see the referendum asking residents if they’d prefer moving local elections to November be put on the ballot.

Shouldn’t the people decide?

Thanks for this. I am getting concerned that the Manor government is trying to hide something? Paranoid, I know, but there’s no logical reason to block the opportunity for a vote.

  Totally agree. I’ve lived here 36 years and have never understood why the Village must incur expenses to run a separate election, among other things the Village chooses to do on it’s own rather than combining services where possible. I signed the petition as well, and have not seen any valid reasons for the Village to be fighting this, wasting our tax dollars. This is our all-Republican government at work. Time to shake things up at the next election and start voting people out of office.
