A car slammed into Lou’s Hotdog Truck, which was parked at Paul Bencivengo Service Center on Wolfs Lane, and pushed the truck into the side of Premier Music Studio, damaging the building.
No one was in the truck at the time of the crash, which occurred sometime Friday night.
Lauren Dunkelberger, owner of Premier Music Studio, arrived at her store at around 8:15 a.m. Saturday to find the destruction.
“There was a ‘do not enter’ sign on the door of my studio, along with caution tape all along the storefront,” she said.
“This Monday, I will be meeting with my insurance company, the building inspector and engineers to further assess the damage of the studio, and to make a plan for future repairs and the re-opening,” Dunkelberger said.
A gofundme.com fundraiser already set up to assist in the recovery of Dunkelberger and her business has reached $10,275.
“Our beloved local business, Premier Music Studio, is facing an unexpected challenge,” said the gofundme page. “A car crash into the storefront has caused extensive structural damage, leaving the business unable to open. Pianos and instruments have been destroyed, and while insurance will help, it simply doesn’t cover the full financial and emotional toll of such a tragedy.”
