The 2024-2025 Program Year at Christ Church begins with Homecoming Sunday, September 15.
Sunday School, under the leadership of Evan Felicetti, Director of Children’s Ministries, begins Sunday, September 15, and is offered each Sunday at 10am. Nursery care is offered every Sunday at 10am throughout the year. Youth Group meets on Thursdays starting on September 26 at 5:30pm. Confirmation Class will start in October. The Christ Church choral season begins Sunday, September 15, at 10am. Under the leadership of Dr. Justin Bishof, Director of Music and Organist, the parish choir includes more than a dozen volunteer and four professional singers. The choir offers a choral psalm and two choral anthems while also leading congregational singing of hymns during the 10am Sunday Holy Eucharist (Mass). Additionally, Dr. Bischof, a world-renowned organist, plays a prelude and postlude every Sunday. Children’s Choir rehearsals begin on Thursday, September 26, at 4:45pm, and the Children’s choir sings once a month on Sunday mornings, beginning in October.
Music for Homecoming Sunday, September 15 includes: Fantasia and Fugue in c minor by Bach, Hymn to Joy, Battle Hymn of the Republic, Anglican Chant, Fight the good fight with all thy might by Gardner, Seek Ye First, Ave Verum Corpus by Mozart, Alleluia Sing to Jesus, and Toccata (Symphony No.5) by Widor.
After the 10am Mass on September 15, all are invited to the Christ Church Homecoming Picnic which begins around 11am. The picnic will include fun and games on the field, including flag football and bouncy castle.
