PELHAM, NY–Pelham Art Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Brooklyn-based contemporary arts facilitator, curator, educator, and artist Hayley Ferber as the organization’s new Artistic & Development Director. She will lead the Pelham Art Center staff along with Bridget Bettke, Managing Director, Finance & Operations.
Ferber previously served as the Operations Director at The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural & Educational Center and Deputy Director of Chashama, where she supported a creative community of multidisciplinary artists. As an artist, Ferber explores nautical themes through artist books, printmaking, and painting, with her work exhibited at AIR Gallery, the Kalamazoo Book Art Center, Rockaway Artist Alliance, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, 440 Gallery, 92Y, and Aqua Art Miami among others. She loves sharing her artistic passions and practices and has taught workshops at institutions including the Swiss Institute, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and Brooklyn Public Library. Ferber has curated exhibitions for organizations including Residency Unlimited, SVA Residencies, Lichtundfire, Equity Gallery, New York Artists Circle and The Yard: Williamsburg.

In addition to the new staff leadership, Nancy Mazzei has been named Chair of the Board of Directors, and Rebecca Scott has been named Board President. As President of the Board, Scott is committed to promoting PAC’s mission to provide the community access to study, experience, and appreciate art. As Board Chair, Mazzei’s focus will be on expanding Art Center branding, fundraising, and marketing opportunities. Michele Westrick and Emily Sharrock will serve as the Board’s Vice Presidents, Michelle Acosta as Secretary, and Chris Eddy as Treasurer. Eddy is a new addition to this year’s Board, as are Fred Gallo and Nancy Harvey.
