September 2023 –Pelham and Bronxville, NY – The Picture House Regional Film Center is thrilled to announce the return of its popular Senior Cinema program, offering a perfect afternoon of FREE film and socializing for moviegoers aged 65 and older. Starting in September 2024 and running through June 2024, Senior Cinema will take place every Tuesday at 2:30 PM at both The Picture House locations in Pelham and Bronxville.
“We are excited that Senior Cinema is back at both our Pelham and Bronxville locations,” said Clayton Bushong, Executive Director of The Picture House. “The program will feature a diverse range of films, including box-office hits, independent films, documentaries, and international cinema. This isn’t just a free movie; it’s an essential part of improving the quality of life for seniors in our community, offering a rich cultural and social experience.”
Admission to Senior Cinema is free for seniors on Tuesdays. To enjoy the program, seniors can pick up their tickets at the box office prior to the screening. Additionally, seniors who hold an annual membership ($55 for those aged 65 and older) will receive free popcorn every time they visit, as well as discounted tickets year-round.
The Senior Cinema program is generously supported by grants from NY State Assembly member Amy Paulin, NY State Senator Nathalia Fernadez, and The Community Fund of Bronxville.
As a reminder, The Picture House Regional Film Center also offers half-priced tickets every Tuesday for all other moviegoers.
