Catherine Veronica (Canavan) Hofmann, 91, of Pelham, NY, died peacefully on October 6, 2024. Catherine, the daughter of the late John and Josie (McDonald) Canavan, was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY, before moving to Pelham in 1967. Catherine was employed as a Branch Manager at Barclays Bank for 36 years and, after retirement, worked for many more years in the office of Dr. Robert Morello.

Catherine memorably touched the lives of all who had the pleasure to meet and know her. She treasured her time with her family and the many friends she made during her life. Her sharp mind and sense of humor, with her to the end, will be missed by all of them.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Eugene, and her brother and sister-inlaw, Bob and Cathy Canavan. Catherine’s life will be treasured by her seven nieces and nephews, their spouses, and her great (and great-great) nieces and nephews; her many cousins and their families; and her numerous dear friends in Pelham, Mount Vernon and beyond.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Catherine’s Church, 25 Second Avenue, Pelham, NY. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham.
