To the editor:
Benefits to moving Pelham Manor village elections to November:
As one of the parent leaders in the Prospect Hill Elementary School area, I have worked hard to make our community safer for pedestrians. We have advocated for a lower speed limit, more stop signs and crosswalks and more enforcement by the police department. In the past three months, all of the above have happened!
We seem to now be a safer place to live and raise our children.
But recently that community unity and support seems to be waning with the upwelling of negative energy against Proposition 3.
This is a chance to make our voices more united and better heard as the many other letters to the Pelham Examiner speak to.
So please Pelham citizens consider how we can support the movement begun with our recent pedestrian safety community movement.
