After several rewarding years of serving the Pelham business community, I, Amy Platt, have decided to step down as Co-Vice President of the Pelham Chamber of Commerce, effective January 2025.
During my time with the Chamber, I had the privilege of organizing and participating in many wonderful events, including Breakfast with Santa, Small Business Saturday, Random Acts of Kindness, and Trunk or Treat. These experiences brought our local businesses and the community together in special ways, and I am proud to have been part of these efforts. I was also honored to be part of the team that helped us win the prestigious “Best of Westchester” award—a highlight of my time with the Chamber.
Serving the businesses and broader community of Pelham has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. The relationships I’ve built and the progress we’ve made together will always be close to my heart. However, as my children grow, their needs at home are broadening, and I’ve taken on additional community commitments. This makes it the right time for me to step back and prioritize my family and other responsibilities.
While it’s bittersweet to step down, I am confident that our thriving business community will continue to flourish and find someone to fill this role and take it to new heights. I will always remain a strong supporter of Pelham’s small businesses and their initiatives—they will always have a special place in my heart.
I would like to extend my deepest thanks to my husband, Justin, and our three children, Evie, Izzie, and Harry. Sharing your wife and mom with the town hasn’t always been easy, but their unwavering support has made everything possible. I couldn’t have done this without the incredible team at the Chamber, including Cristina Chianese, Miranda Buccerio, Dave Katz, the late Mike Paradis, Christina Biaggi, Deanna Zammit, Danielle Devito and so many more who have made my time here so special.
Thank you, Pelham, for the opportunity to serve this amazing community. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for all of us.
