On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the Pelham Recreation Department will honor Breda Bennett with the prestigious Dr. John Marshall Award. This award was established to commemorate the late Dr. John Marshall, an accomplished orthopedic surgeon and long-time Pelham resident who gave tirelessly to the community and had an unrivaled love for Pelham and sports.
Breda’s contributions to the community are extensive and very deserving of this honor. She served on the Pelham Recreation Commission for 14 years, where she expanded the treasured Rec basketball league. Breda has also held numerous leadership roles across Pelham Little League, the Pelham Booster Club, PACT, and the Prospect Hill PTA. She currently serves as a Pelham Manor Trustee and Police Commissioner.
All members of the community are invited to join on November 12th to honor the memory of Dr. John Marshall and celebrate Breda’s tremendous contributions to the Pelham community. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the Daronco Town House, with light refreshments to follow.
Editor’s note: This press release was provided by the Pelham Recreation Department. The Pelham Examiner publishes press releases in the form received as a service to the community.
