(October 31, 2024 – Pelham, NY) “Greatness needs to be rewarded”. On Friday October 25, at The Surf Club in New Rochelle, 225 guests joined in a magnificent celebration of the Pelham Civic Association’s Annual Fundraising Gala and honored two of Pelham’s most significant volunteers who have certainly “made a difference” in Pelham… and beyond. This year’s Persons of the Year were Tina Constable and Dan McLaughlin.
The Gala was a tremendous success. Along with the raffles and auctions, The Pelham Civic Association was able to reach its goals as it continues to be one of New York State’s most active, volunteer charitable organizations, assisting the youth, the seniors, the financially needy and the physically and mentally challenged.
The honorees this year are truly visionary. Tina Constable founded “Thanksgiving in a Box” which has provided thousands upon thousands of individuals and families in need. Dan McLaughlin has been a vital contributor to the success of the Pelham Civics and its many programs, project and events throughout his 30 plus years of volunteer service and leadership.
This year’s Gala was spearheaded by Civic Members, Gala Chairman Maurice Owen-Michaane and Phil Carfora and their committee. Pelham Civics President Tim Case delivered a warm welcome to all the guests, acknowledging the importance of their remarkable support.
