November 2024 – Bronxville and Pelham, NY –The Picture House Regional Film Center is kicking off the holiday season in style with the return of Santa Needs Your Help! This fun-filled, interactive family event will take place on Sunday, December 8th at 10:00 AM in Pelham. Join award-winning writer, producer, and author Kevin Maher, along with Santa himself, for a morning packed with holiday cheer! Kids in the audience will help Santa get ready for Christmas through games, songs, and an exclusive peek into Santa’s secret video library. After the show, Kevin Maher will be signing copies of his book, Santa Doesn’t Need Your Help (available for purchase), and special guest Joe Dator, the book’s illustrator and co-director of the short film, will offer custom drawings inside your book! Plus, don’t miss an exciting Q&A and photos with Santa!

Kevin Maher is an Emmy-nominated writer, filmmaker, comedian, and poet. His work has been featured on AMC, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon. His short films have been shown everywhere from MOMA to Troma, with screenings outside of Sundance and Cannes. He directed the one-man show I, SANTA: Confessions from Behind the Beard and has worked as a Santa-for-hire.
Joe Dator has been a cartoonist for The New Yorker since 2006. He is a winner of The National Cartoonists Society’s 2018 Silver Reuben Award, which he hopes will somehow raise his credit score. Joe has been featured in two documentaries about the cartoonists of The New Yorker, including one for HBO, and has been profiled in a video by The Atlantic.
