At last night’s Board of Trustees meeting (Dec. 16), Mayor Lapey had the honor of swearing in Gregory Sancho to the position of Police Chief. Pelham Manor is proud to welcome Police Chief Sancho to his new role. Chief Sancho’s family was in attendance to show their support during this exciting moment. The room was filled with many colleagues, current and former employees from the Pelham Manor Police Department, including retired Chief Thomas Atkins, members from the Pelham Manor Fire Department, and administrative staff. This executive level transition has been seamless, which is largely attributable to Chief Sancho’s honorable character.
