About the Book:
In this heartwarming story about second acts and second chances, The Autumn of Ruth Winters follows the life of Ruth Winters, a no-nonsense retiree set in her ways, who must confront her past to build a fulfilling future. Widowed and living alone in her suburban home, Ruth has grown accustomed to a life of isolation and routine. Though she wouldn’t call herself happy, she’s resigned to the idea that it’s too late to chase happiness. But when a series of unexpected events—a niece’s big announcement, a rekindled relationship with an old flame, and life- news from her estranged sister—disrupts her carefully crafted routine, Ruth is forced to reconsider her future. In the process, she learns that maybe it’s not too late to create something new.
