Nicola “Nick” Passante, of Pelham, New York, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 92. Born in Calabria, Italy, to Maria and Antonio, he was one of three children. As a teenager, he emigrated to the United States, where he later met the love of his life, Emma. Together, they built a beautiful life in Pelham, raising their three children, Mariella, Anthony, and Italo.
A gifted carpenter by trade, Nick took great pride in his work. His strong work ethic, generosity, and willingness to help others defined him. Above all, family was his greatest joy. He cherished time spent with loved ones, whether gathered around the dinner table or celebrating life’s special moments.
Nick will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will be dearly missed, but his legacy lives on in the countless memories he leaves behind.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Emma, his daughter Mariella, and his sons Anthony and Italo. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Kate, Jonas, Luke, Sofia, Christopher, and Juliet, daughters-in-law Pia and Lauren, as well as his sister, Teresa. He is predeceased by his sister, Emilia.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nicola’s life at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham, NY, on Monday, February 10, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham, followed by interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
