The Board of Education will meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in Room 280 in Pelham Middle School, 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. It is anticipated that the Board will immediately consider a motion to enter executive session to discuss the proposed acquisition, sale or lease of real property. The Board is expected to reconvene in public in the Pelham Middle School Library at approximately 7:30pm for a regular business meeting, which is open to members of the public. The meeting can also be viewed on YouTube live.
At the start of the meeting, the Board will honor two PMHS students and their teachers for being recognized as Top 300 scholars in the Regeneron Science Talent Search competition.
Following the student recognition, representatives from KG&D Architects are expected to present updated designs and cost estimates related to the Capital Improvement Bond. Additionally, Dr. Champ will present an overview of the Superintendent’s Preliminary 2025-26 budget.
In addition to Dr. Champ’s Superintendent’s report, the agenda may include updates from each School Board committee, Finances and Facilities, and Human Resources as well as the priority areas of the Strategic Plan.
The Board may also review and/or adopt the following policies:
- Policy 5661 – Wellness
- Policy 5640 – Smoking/Tobacco Use
- Policy 6550 – Leaves of Absence
- Policy 5683 – Evacuation, Lockdown and Emergency Dismissal Drills
- Policy 6214 – Incidental Teaching
- Policy 6121 – Sexual Harassment in the Workplace
