The 2024-2025 Friends of Music Concert Series at Christ Church is celebrating the 5th Anniversary of our Juget-Sinclair Organ, Op. 51 in a series of 5 concerts featuring 4 internationally acclaimed concert organists who are also leading New York City area Episcopalian organists who are presenting virtuosic programs on our French Romantic tracker organ. Our January concert featured acclaimed New York City orchestra Modus Operandi Orchestra MOO in various works including Beethoven Symphony No. 7.
Our next concert is on Wednesday March 26th 7-8:15pm and will feature internationally acclaimed concert organist David Enlow. Maestro Enlow is the Organist & Choirmaster of the historic Church of the Resurrection at 74th Street and Park Avenue. All are invited to the wine and cheese reception in the Parish Hall immediately following the concert.
About the Artist: David Enlow is a “commanding” organist (The New Yorker), conductor, and teacher based in New York, who is active in North America and Europe. He is Music Director of Park Avenue Synagogue, Organist & Choir Master of the Church of the Resurrection, and Assistant Conductor, Organist, and Repetiteur to the Clarion Music Society. His solo recordings on the Pro Organo label include Pater Seraphicus, the complete major organ works of César Franck; Piano à l’Orgue, an album of piano transcriptions; and Bach on Park Avenue, recorded on the Mander organ at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola in New York. David’s latest recording is an educational collaboration with Maestro Classics, Bach and the Pipe Organ, with materials for ages five and up. As a concerto soloist, David has appeared with orchestras in works of Poulenc, Haydn, Handel, Respighi, Bach, and Saint-Saens.
