The Junior League of Pelham is renaming its Annual Fund campaign “Love Pelham” to better highlight the many ways donations help to fund programs within Pelham and neighboring communities.

The Love Pelham Annual Fund campaign runs November 1 through December 15.

Last year the Annual Fund campaign, previously known as “Light Up Pelham,” raised a record $22,000. Those funds went to a wide range of projects in the local area including:

  • Home-cooked meals and warm clothing for the homeless.
  • Educational enrichment programs for local children.
  • Assistance for victims of domestic violence.
  • The inaugural Pelham Service Fair on Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
  • More than $5000 of grants to community programs focused on healthy families, education and local improvement.

“We are so thankful for the generous contributions of our members and community to help support the Junior League of Pelham’s mission and projects,” noted Romina Levy, President, Junior League of Pelham. “This year, the Love Pelham campaign will also fund our expansion into new areas such as programs that help women re-enter the workforce; bring science enrichment to preschools; and create new public art.”

Similar to last year, all donors’ homes will be adorned with a Love Pelham snowflake starting Thanksgiving weekend.

But this year, donations of $100 or more will receive an original Love Pelham ornament, created by Pelham artist Katy Garry.

The campaign also has a new logo, incorporating the Junior League insignia, “Love Pelham” and a red heart, designed by Pelham resident Megan Krauklis.
