(February 20, 2025 – Pelham, NY) Project Community, Pelham’s only volunteer organization spearheaded by healthcare professionals, celebrates its 40th Anniversary of providing our community with innovative healthcare programs! Its ever-popular annual Color Run will return on Sunday, May 18th (starting at 10am), bringing families and friends together for a 2.5 mile fun-run! All are welcome to participate and enjoy a day of fun, color, and community. The Color Run brings awareness for the ongoing need for community health programs, in addition to raising funds to fuel these initiatives that support children in need, and our teens. We will be hosting a festive Kick-Off Party & Fundraiser two days prior on Friday May 16th. The party is being hosted at a magnificent private home in Pelham, and will begin at 7pm. Celebrity Auctioneer will be NY Football Giant 2x Super Bowl Champion Zak DeOssie! To register for both Kick-Off Party & Color Run, simply visit projectcommunity.us
Founded in 1985 by Dr. Anne Frost – the current President & CEO – Project Community’s first program, Project C.H.I.L.D.D. (Community Help In Learning About Developmental Disabilities) has evolved into one of Westchester County’s most significant initiatives in assisting children, teens and young adults with special needs. It’s YOU&ME program also assists our underserved population by collaborating with the Pelham and Pelham Manor Police Departments to keep the young adults with special needs safe in our community. The four visionary programs that provide our teens with key knowledge concentrate in the areas of Sexual Assault, Binge Drinking, Anxiety and Self-Awareness. You can learn more about Project Community by visiting projectcommunity.us. See you on Color Run Weekend!
