To the editor:
You have the power to make a real difference on May 20—a chance to show all the children in our community the true meaning of inclusion. It’s an opportunity to recognize and embrace our differences and to demonstrate to our kids that every voice—and every vote—matters when it comes to doing what’s right.
As parents, we don’t often get a platform to model what it means to stand up for those who may be different. But on May 20, we do. When you cast your vote, vote for the underdog. Vote for the families who want their children to feel like they truly belong. Vote for your own children and show them that we value differences and that we stand up for others.
Please join me in voting “YES” for Proposition 2.
In a world full of uncertainty, let’s come together and prove—to our kids and to every member of our community—that everyone deserves a seat at the table.
