This fall, Pelham Art Center invites artists of all ages—from toddlers to adults—to harvest their creativity with a dynamic lineup of art classes, workshops, and—NEW this season—single-day camps. Beginning September 15, the Center offers an inspiring variety of daytime and evening programs designed to spark imagination and support artistic growth in a fun, welcoming environment. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, there’s something for everyone across traditional fine arts, digital media, and beyond.
Led by experienced teaching artists, weekly classes and one-day workshops provide engaging, hands-on instruction for every age and skill level. Young artists can explore unique offerings such as Artapalooza, Dream Home Designers and Giant Puppet Makers, while adults are invited to discover new techniques and creative outlets through classes like The Fine Art of the Zen Doodle, Digital Photography, Printmaking for Beginners, and Figure Drawing. These thoughtfully designed programs combine skill-building with creative exploration, encouraging self-expression in a supportive studio setting.
NEW to the art center’s youth programming this fall are single-day creative camps offered during select school holidays in September and October. These day-long programs, running from 9AM to 2 PM, are ideal for working parents or families seeking meaningful one-day art experiences. Camps for ages 3–7 focus on imaginative art-making and creative play, while campers aged 8 and up will dive into character design, animation, manga and storytelling. No matter what the medium, these joyful camps enable children to continue their growth despite the break from school, while allowing parents a bit of extra time of their own.
Special adult workshops extend beyond traditional art-making to embrace wellness, seasonal themes, mystery projects and more. Fall into Wellness is a beautiful day-long self-care retreat at the Center, featuring sound healing, a meditative art activity, light refreshments and yin yoga. In December, workshops will feature festive holiday projects for adults and families alike. Additionally, the Center will offer the option for shorter workshops this season.
Back by popular demand is a series of monthly Art After Hours workshops, designed for adults over 21 to unwind and enjoy some refreshments along with a relaxed, approachable mystery art project to be revealed at the time of the workshop. These are perfect for a friends’ night out, a date, or solo creative time. Other engaging adult workshops this season include Japanese Kintsugi, DIY Candle-Making, Textured Mug-Making, and more. Each workshop is designed to be accessible, inspiring, and enjoyable—whether you’re trying something new or returning to a favorite medium.
For our youngest artists, the beloved Stories & Scribbles program also returns this fall. Designed for children ages 2–3 and their caregivers, this monthly morning session blends storytelling with hands-on art-making, helping little ones build creativity, confidence, and social-emotional skills in a warm, nurturing environment.
Pelham Art Center is committed to making the arts accessible to all. Thanks to generous funding from the Town of Pelham, ArtsWestchester/Westchester Board of Legislators, New York State Council on the Arts, Uskali Scholarship Fund, Annual Fund, Benchmark Education, and Special Event donors, need-based full and partial scholarships are available for students of all ages.
High school students seeking to advance their skills and build a strong college portfolio are encouraged to apply for the David Uskali Scholarship, designed to support artistic talent and development. More details and applications are available here.
