PMHS Athletes of the Week picked from winter cheerleading, girls’ swimming and boys’ basketball

Congratulations to the following students who were named PMHS Athletes of the Week.

Winter Cheerleading

Seniors Rachel Brewer, Pallavy Franco, and Tess Darrow, juniors Brianna Vinci and Kim Perez, sophomores Mya Davis and Sela Roth, and freshmen Claire Aumer, Elizabeth Ross, Catherine Scott and Alyssa Artis volunteered their time to cheer on the runners at the Pelham 10K and Half Marathon over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was cold out and they kept up their spirit for hours cheering on runners at the start of each race, as well as at the finish line.

Girls’ Swimming

Eighth grader Alexandra Bastone went to states and placed 16th in the 200 free, 6th public and 8th federation in the 500 free.

Boys’ Basketball

Senior Harry Ravitz was named MVP of the Irvington Tournament after helping the boys’ basketball team defeat Ardsley in the opening round and Dobbs Ferry in the final. Ravitz had 19 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals and 6 assists vs. Ardsley and 24 points against Dobbs Ferry.
