It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Gia Deborah Gentile, age 14, born June 9, 2010, in White Plains, NY. Gia’s smile, laughter and fun loving personality would light up any room. Gia had the kindest soul and was a good friend to all who were lucky to know her. Her kindness was infectious and her spirit was admirable and unbeatable. Gia’s first thoughts were not to help herself but rather to help another in need. She donated and spent so much of her life to community service. Gia’s passions were cheerleading, starting at the age of four and most recently for the Westlake High School Varsity Cheer Team. Gia was an amazing flyer; selected All-League and All-American in Section 1 in the Fall of 2024. Her huge heart, strong leadership and ability to be a good team player was exemplified through participation in student council and the service club. She was dedicated to her studies making Honor Roll, The National Junior Honor Society and was loved and admired by her teachers and classmates. She loved spending time with her family the most. Whether it was game night, doing crafts, watching movies, or dancing (without fail at the ending credits).
Gia is survived by her loving parents, Carmine and Dana (nee Zumpano), her adoring sister, Jordana and her brother Tino. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Stephen & Deborah Zumpano, paternal grandparents, Sal & Maria Gentile, great-grandmother, Maria (Concetta) Gentile as well as her beloved aunts, uncles, Chris & Denise Giusti, Steve & Danielle Zumpano, Domenick & Marlena Gentile, AnneMarie Gentile, and Michael & Christina Gentile and her many loving cousins: Sofia, Roman, Ava, Gianluca, Vera, Anthony, Noella, Donato, Gio and Eloisa. She was predeceased by her loving great-grandparents: Joe & Rose Marie Pugliese, Frank & Loretta Zumpano, Carmine Gentile, and Dominick & Laurina Bruno.
