Pelham seniors: We want to celebrate you!
The Pelham Examiner wants to recognize all the high school seniors in a section we’re calling “The Class of 2020: They saw it all.”
Send a picture of yourself in landscape format standing in front of, behind or near the lawn sign delivered last week by the Pelham Teachers Association.
What to wear? Quarantine attire (face mask optional). Or other casual wear. Something formal, maybe. Your planned prom duds. Perhaps, the shirt from a favorite college—or the senior talent show or the Olympics (as yours will be the only Olympics of any kind held this year). Props, other signs, anything about your senior year and career at Pelham Memorial High School are all welcome in the photo, but are optional.
You can also write a sentence. Two. A paragraph. A speech. Words are very optional. We know you’ve written a whole lot of essays in the last year. Write if you want.
Send the picture (landscape format), optional words and your name as you want it to appear in the paper to [email protected].
We will feature everyone we receive on our home page, in a special section on the newspaper website and in our social media feeds.
We’d like to start publishing this week as we want to run five seniors every day. Why five? That way, we’ll be able to publish the whole class by the time graduation day rolls around.
Join in this new—and one-year only (we hope)—senior tradition. You deserve to be honored.
