In a late-season rivalry game against Rye last Tuesday, the PMHS ice hockey team added a big 3-1 win to the season’s tally.
The Pelican’s overall offensive performance was strong, with defensemen Will Garrow and Ian Hearle both scoring their first varsity goals and forward Winston Speros also with a goal. Forward Reeve Murrell recorded two assists, and forwards Fletcher Kiessling, Matthew Veteri and Owen Duffy also claimed one assist each. Goalie Camden White had 25 saves and one assist.
“I thought it was a hard team win,” said Speros, “We took care of business, and it was a well played and hard fought game.”
After the strong performance against Rye, the team added a win over Fordham Prep and a loss to Suffern this past weekend.
The players will look to improve on their 9-6 record when playing Pawling at home on Tuesday (Jan. 21).
