The Pelham Manor Police Department on Saturday “dispersed about 75 cars” from behind Dave & Busters at 881 Pelham Parkway in Pelham Manor for creating unreasonable noise, according to a Nixle alert.

An officer at the department referred a reporter to Lt. Thomas Atkins for information on what the cars were doing there.

However, a post from the Village of Pelham Manor updated the situation on Sunday. The cars were “about to engage in drag racing,” according to the post by Trustee Maurice Owen-Michaane. The post also referred to music complaints: “If you hear the music, as many do, call PMPD, 914.738.1000. They need the data and are trying to track the location. VOPM is working with its partners in neighboring municipalities to track the location and deal with it.”

Last week, the village reported it was lobbying the Westchester and New York City police to halt drag racing on the Hutchinson Parkway.
