Kate Douglass advances to 100-meter butterfly final in U.S. Olympic qualifiers
The 2021 U.S. Olympic trials are currently taking place in Omaha, Nebraska, where PMHS alumna Kate Douglass is competing for a spot in the women’s 100-meter butterfly.
After finishing fourth overall in the semifinals with a personal best time of 57.07 seconds, Douglass is moving on to the finals for the event, which will take place Monday night. She will be competing against young swimmers such as Torri Huske and Clare Curzan, who both broke 57 seconds in the qualifying round.
