The Do Something Club at Pelham Memorial High School participated in the annual Westchester Polar Plunge on Saturday to raise awareness and money for the Special Olympics. The Do Something Club raised $5,711 to donate to the Special Olympics.

“Raising money for the polar plunge was a great experience,” said junior Madeleine Finster, social media manager of the club. “I look forward to doing more events with this club in the future.”

The plunge was held at the Westchester Country Club in Rye. Over 30 PMHS students from across the four grade levels participated, running into the icy waters of the Long Island Sound.
