PMHS yearbook wins first place award from American Scholastic Press Association
The Pelham Memorial High School 2021 Pelican Yearbook was awarded first place recognition by the American Scholastic Press Association this past week, and was also honored for excellence in photography and use of color.
The 2021 Pelican, titled “Where We’re From,” was led by PMHS alumni Joei Paterra and Mia Baccei, who were top editors of the publication as seniors. The class was supervised by first-year advisers Jane Wals and Bryan Sans, who are teachers at PMHS.
The 2020 Pelican received a silver medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. The 2019 Pelican received gold.
