Editor’s note: This information was provided by the Pelham Union Free School District. The Pelham Examiner publishes press releases in the form received as a service to the community.

Update Tuesday from the school district: Please be advised that members of the public will be permitted to attend the meeting in-person. Capacity will be limited due to 6 ft. physical distancing requirements and masks will be required for those in attendance. Accordingly, public comment will be held in person after the work session. (The district’s original notice Friday stated that “due to public health and safety concerns, the public will not be permitted to attend this meeting in person.”)

The Board of Education will meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 2 in the Chorus Room of Pelham Middle School (Room 054) located at 28 Franklin Place, Pelham, NY 10803. It is anticipated that the Board will immediately consider a motion to enter executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person(s). The Board is expected to reconvene in public at approximately 7:30pm and conduct a work session in the Middle School Library. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube live.

At the meeting, the Board of Education will conduct a work session on social-emotional wellness/mental health that will be led by Julia Chung, Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services.
