Two unidentified people were found dead inside a burning car on the side of Shore Road early Monday morning, according to Fox News.

New York Police Department officers were called to the area on Shore Road in Pelham Bay Park near the Pelham Split Rock Golf Course at about 4:30 a.m., Fox News said.

The police found a Honda Accord on the side of the road in flames, though the car did not appear to have been in a crash, the network said. New York City firefighters put out the blaze and found the two bodies inside the vehicle.
