PMHS boys lacrosse advances to Section 1 final with win over Hen Hud
The PMHS boys lacrosse team beat Hendrick Hudson 8-4 in the Section 1, Class C semifinals on Monday. The boys will go to the Section 1 finals on Thursday against the winner of Byram Hills vs Pearl River to be played at Lakeland High School.
The game was scrappy. Pelham went after it defensively, but failed to score much going into the half, deadlocked at 3-3. However, as this team has done almost all year, a 5-1 run throughout the second half buried the Sailors.
For the Pelicans, senior captain Daniel Johnston continued his postseason hot streak, scoring one goal and collecting four assists to put his point total at 18 in three postseason games. Juniors Chris Franchini and Eric Elbery had two goals each, while senior goalie Will White had nine saves.
