Pelham claims another athletic champion with 2017 PMHS graduate Harrison Tsavaris’ recent gold medal at the 2022 US National Rowing Championships in West Windsor, New Jersey, July 6-9. Tsavaris is a 2021 graduate of Fordham University.

Tsavaris and his rowing partner, Harvard University 2020 graduate Justin Steven, are both members of the NYAC men’s year-round rowing team and competed in the lightweight men’s pair category. Now declared national champions, the duo will represent the United States at the World Rowing Championships to be held in Racice, the Czech Republic, this September. Tsavaris also competed in and won gold in the men’s lightweight four event at the nationals.
