Rotary Club of the Pelhams celebrated its 75th Anniversary with the Tastings XVI wine and food event on Oct 16, raising funds for heart surgery medical missions for foreign children through Rotary’s Gift of Life program. Some of the proceeds also will be used for donations to youth programs in Pelham and nearby communities.

Honorees for the event were past presidents of the Rotary club, past Rotary Scholarship winners and Pelham families who hosted children for heart surgeries in the U.S.

Restaurants, caterers and bakeries offered signature dishes at the event with music provided by members of the Philip James Orchestra.Blue Dog Wine & Spirits was the major sponsor.

In addition to ticket admissions, the event received donations, which can continue to be made online at pelhamrotary.com.

Copies of the Rotary 75th Anniversary Commemorative Journal distributed at the event are available for browsing or for free at the Town of Pelham Library and Pelham Art Center. It contains information on the history of the Rotary club, names of past presidents and names of many of the past Rotary Scholarship winners and photos of the Pelham families and the children they hosted for heart surgery.
